We’re looking for an experienced and reliable 7.5t Delivery Driver to join the team at Hevey Building Supplies in Kettering, starting in Feb 2026. If you take pride in doing a great job, enjoy being out on the road, and like working with customers, this is a solid opportunity to join a friendly, hardworking team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customers across London. You’ll handle loading and unloading, represent the branch with professionalism, and help keep our operations running smoothly.
What you’ll do
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries using a 7.5t vehicle
- Load and unload materials safely at the branch and on-site
- Provide excellent customer service on every delivery
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support general branch duties

What you’ll need
- Category C (7.5t) licence and valid Driver CPC
- Experience in multi-drop delivery
- Knowledge of building materials (advantage but not essential)
- Physical fitness and confidence lifting heavy goods
- Strong understanding of road safety and delivery procedures
- A positive, can-do attitude and good team spirit

Hevey Building Supplies in Moulton Park, Northampton is one of the Group’s largest and busiest branches — a serious trading operation with huge opportunity. We’re now looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth.
This is a front-line commercial role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced merchanting environment, knows how to win business, and wants to be part of a branch that means business.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll focus on winning new accounts, growing existing customers, increasing sales and margin, and strengthening the Hevey brand across Northampton and the surrounding area.
What you’ll be doing
- Driving sales growth across one of the Group’s largest and highest-performing branches
- Winning new business and developing key local accounts
- Building strong, long-term relationships through regular customer and site visits
- Promoting the Hevey brand, service and product range across the local market
- Supporting branch sales activity with pricing, quotations and commercial support
- Working closely with suppliers and buyers on pricing, stock and new product opportunities
- Supporting local marketing activity across all sales channels
- Operating to the highest standards of customer service, professionalism and safety
This is a proper business development role — visible, commercial, and influential — with the backing of a serious trading branch behind you.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in business development or field sales within a builders’ merchant
- Strong knowledge of the local Northampton market and customer base
- Confident dealing with contractors, developers and trade customers
- Commercial mindset with a hunger to win and grow business
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Team-focused and comfortable working in a big, fast-moving branch environment
- Good IT skills and willingness to adapt and learn

We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the yard team at Huntingdon Timber Supplies. This is a fast-paced, practical role at the heart of our operation, supporting customers, suppliers and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
- Safely operating a forklift to pick, load and unload vehicles
- Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers on site
- Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials where required
- Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe, with high standards of presentation
- Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues
- Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns
- Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation
What we’re looking for
- Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift
- Previous experience working in a timber merchant or builders’ merchant environment
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of safety procedures
- Eligible to work in the UK
