HGV Driver – Sudbury

We are currently recruiting an HGV Driver to join the team at our branch in Sudbury. Applicants should possess a current Class 1 or Class 2 (Cat C & E) licence. Ideally you will also hold a valid HIAB Crane Licence.

The daily duties of the job will be delivering building materials around the Sudbury area.

Hours: 7.30am-4pm Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Requirements

  • Valid HGV licence and clean driving record
  • Experience of working in a Builder’s Merchant
  • A good understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Eligible to work in the UK

 

Yard Assistant – Northampton

We are looking for a full-time Yard Assistant to join the team our branch in Moulton Park, Northampton. The successful candidate will be part of a yard team picking loads, loading and unloading our vehicles and those of our customers and suppliers, offering a high standard of customer service. Duties include keeping the yard clean and tidy and maintaining stock presentation and rotation. You will also be expected to report any health and safety issues, and to check and defect plant and machinery daily.

 

Applicants should have a valid Counterbalance licence and ideally be experienced in using Counterbalance, Teletruck and Combi forklift trucks.

 

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7.30am-12.30pm alternate Saturdays

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Forklift certification and the ability to operate a forklift is an advantage
