Yard Assistant - Hevey Northampton
We are looking for a full-time Yard Assistant to join the team our branch in Moulton Park, Northampton. The successful candidate will be part of a yard team picking loads, loading and unloading our vehicles and those of our customers and suppliers, offering a high standard of customer service. Duties include keeping the yard clean and tidy and maintaining stock presentation and rotation. You will also be expected to report any health and safety issues, and to check and defect plant and machinery daily.
Applicants should have a valid Counterbalance licence and ideally be experienced in using Counterbalance, Teletruck and Combi forklift trucks.
Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7.30am-12.30pm alternate Saturdays
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Forklift certification and the ability to operate a forklift is an advantage
- Eligible to work in the UK
