Hevey and Prince’s Trust build gardens for local school
March 2008
Hevey Building Supplies teamed up with The Prince’s Trust recently to make dreams come true for a local Northampton school. A garden was built for Abbey Primary School in Delapre by volunteers of the Princes Trust who were on a self development course. All the materials for the project were supplied free of charge by Hevey Building Supplies.

The Mayoress of Northampton (pictured with the children) officially opened the gardens on 26th March 2008.
Wayne Taylor, local manager for the Prince’s Trust said “We are a charity that provides practical and financial support to young people who need it most. Our aim is to develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training. We are thrilled to partner Hevey Building Supplies on this very exciting project that helps us achieve our goals. Without Hevey’s support this project would not have been possible and it is thanks to them that we see so many smiling faces here today. We look forward to developing our relationship further with such a forward thinking local company.”
Mick McGuckin Sales Director for Hevey, the largest independent builder’s merchant in Northamptonshire said “As a local company, we are absolutely delighted to help make a difference in the community in which we operate and are happy to work with the Prince’s Trust to make a dream come true for all the children in the school.
